Create strategy and a visual identity for Wodka Bar, a place built on stories, memories and love. With the conviviality and vibrancy of zakuska as our guiding light, we sought to create a brand with a taste of old country.
Wodka Bar embodies a modern interpretation of an idealized past—the memory of a memory projected onto a vibrant future. Inspired by Abstract Expressionism, Eastern European folk art, Polish embroidery and wood carvings, the brand seeks to bring the look of old country to every part of the Wodka Bar experience.
The feeling of interacting with the Wodka Bar brand is similar to opening a Russian Nesting Doll and experiencing layers of color and texture. With regal blues, golds, and teal, the brand invites guests to feel part of past life of laughter and lore.
The provenance of our illustrated carrier pigeon is Czechoslovakia circa 1920s. Paired with a more modern GT Pressura typeface with Cyrillic character, we love that the logo combines old and new for a design that feels rich and regal yet approachable and contemporary. The beauty of our mark is its versatility, working with multiple colors, two-color systems, surrounded by borders or floating on its own.
